The Youth Intensive Treatment Counsellor is responsible to work collaboratively with the clinical team to ensure program delivery is consistent with the philosophy, approach, goals and learning setting established by Dilico Anishinabek Family Care, which will ensure the cultural, social, emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing of children/youth and their families.Employment Type Full TimeJob Occupation Type Social and community service workersTotal Positions 1Wage $26.48 To $33.54 HourlyHours/Week 36Days of Work n/aClosing Date / Apply By 6/10/2025Start Date n/aQualificationsAn Indigenous Learning Degree, BSW or equivalent is preferred. Social Service Worker or equivalent diploma with relevant work experience will be consideredThree years related experience working with Anishinabek youth/familiesThree years experience providing activity-based therapeutic interventions to youth including cultural, land-based, recreational, prosocialExperience working with youth with mental health needsCandidates without the specific education qualifications and where the position does not require certified qualification to practice, but who possess an appropriate combination of experience and other academic qualifications will also be consideredSatisfactory Criminal Records Search; including a Vulnerable Sector SearchMust possess a valid Standard First Aid/CPR Certificate or be willing to obtain oneIn relation to service requirements, as determined by the Manager or designateAbility to work flexible hoursWork at an alternate agency site in same role for the duration of shiftMust participate in program “On Call” rotation, as designated by Service Manager or designateMust possess a Class “G” Driver’s License and have access to a personal vehicleMust complete a medical and receive the required immunizations as recommended by the local Medical Officer of HealthMust participate in cultural, social,
recreational program activitiesMust participate in and qualify for certification in Therapeutic Crisis InterventionTraining provided by the agency.
