CRH Canada is hiring a Lab Technician Contract 12 Months - Etobicoke, Ontario !

Job Responsibilities

- Material sampling & testing (concrete, cement, aggregates, admixtures, etc.)
- Plan and implementation of project programs
- Data management and reporting, Maintain SR & ED records
- Coordinate external testing with consultants and contractors
- Provide technical support for different business units
- Review specifications and research literature
- Draft technical report
- Support advanced material characterization activities.
- Use of LCR meters, graphing and data visualization tools.
- Participation in research involving nano tubes and concrete material technologies.

Requirements

- Engineering degree (Materials, Civil, Chemical, Mechanical)




- Good verbal and writing communication skills
- Experience in technical writing
- Strong analytical skill with good attention to details and accuracy
- Knowledge about cement, concrete, and aggregates
- Advanced computer knowledge including MS Office and Minitab
- Familiarity with LCR meters and related laboratory instrumentation used for material property measurement
- Ability to perform graphing, data visualization, and interpretation of laboratory results
- Experience working with concrete materials in laboratory or field environments
- Exposure to nano tubes or nano enhanced material technologies considered an asset
