Provide specialized nursing support in radiation therapy for patients. Engage in symptom management and critical interventions while collaborating directly with multidisciplinary teams.
This part time role focuses on delivering real-time nursing care during radiation therapy and brachytherapy. You'll assess patient needs, respond to emergencies, and educate patients and families on managing treatment-related side effects. Your expertise will support both patients regaining their health and the oncology team, ensuring the highest standard of care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct nursing support during radiation therapy
• Assess and address patient treatment-related issues
• Collaborate with primary RNs and clinical specialists




• Manage emergency interventions effectively
• Educate patients post-brachytherapy for successful recovery
Requirements:
• BScN preferred; nursing school graduate required
• CNA certification preferred; oncology course recommended
• Previous experience in radiation oncology advantageous
• Certification in IV and CVAD management an asset
• Current BCLS certification mandatory
