This role focuses on underwriting for upper-middle market and large corporate primary liabilities. You will assess exposures, prepare quotations, and negotiate terms while contributing to the sustainability of the portfolio. A key part of the job involves collaborating with a dedicated team to execute strategic initiatives in the Canadian market.
Key Responsibilities:
• Represent the business and engage with brokers regularly
• Analyze technical insurability for new and renewal submissions
• Structure casualty programs and prepare proposals
• Maintain risk information and manage account processes
• Support sales planning and execution with the team
Requirements:
• 5+ years of underwriting experience required
• Proven success in General Liability and Excess lines
• Robust technical underwriting and customer focus
• Effective negotiation and communication skills
• Willingness to travel and bilingual in French is beneficial
