About the role
The Analytics, Insights and Artificial Intelligence (AI2) team delivers data‑driven insights and advanced analytics that support strategic decision‑making across the organization. Within AI2 we are building a modern Business Intelligence Centre of Excellence that supports six business segments across Canada. The Transformation and Continuous Improvement Lead plays a key role in modernizing how business intelligence operates across the enterprise. This role focuses on transforming BI capabilities to support AI readiness, stronger self‑serve analytics, and more efficient delivery of insights. The role ensures that BI tools, processes, and capabilities evolve to support the bank’s shift toward scalable data‑driven decision making. You will sit at the intersection of technology, transformation, standards, and operational improvement. You will help define how we modernize our BI capabilities, simplify how teams work, and improve the efficiency and quality of analytics delivery across segments.
This is a senior individual contributor role with broad influence and high visibility. You will report to the Head of the BI COE and work closely with senior leaders, data teams, technology partners, and BI practitioners across the segments.
What You Will Do
- Lead transformation initiatives that modernize business intelligence capabilities to support AI‑ready data, scalable analytics, and self‑serve BI adoption across the enterprise
- Identify opportunities to simplify how BI teams work by improving processes, tooling, and operating models that reduce manual effort and increase delivery efficiency
- Partner with business segments and technology teams to strengthen data foundations that enable reliable and scalable analytics
- Act as a technical and expert on data visualization, semantic models, and self‑serve analytics capabilities across the BI technology stack
- Drive adoption of modern BI tools and capabilities including Power BI, Azure, Databricks, and related data and analytics platforms
- Define and promote standards and best practices that improve consistency, efficiency, and quality in dashboards, reporting, and data visualization
- Lead cross‑functional initiatives that improve the way BI teams collaborate, deliver insights, and manage analytics assets
- Identify and implement process improvements that streamline BI development, reduce duplication, and enable faster insight delivery
- Partner with BI practitioners across segments to strengthen technical practices and ensure alignment with enterprise standards
- Influence decision making through clear storytelling, strong presentations,
and executive‑ready materials
- Represent the BI COE in senior forums and act as a visible advocate for modern, productive BI practices

What You Bring
- Deep experience in business intelligence, analytics, data transformation, or technology modernization
- Strong understanding of data visualization, semantic models, and self‑serve analytics practices
- Hands‑on familiarity with modern BI and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Azure, Databricks, and related platforms
- Experience improving operational processes and identifying opportunities for efficiency through technology and automation
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across multiple lines of business
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas and drive alignment
- Confidence presenting to executive and senior leadership audiences
- Comfort working in ambiguity and shaping solutions where the path is not fully defined
- Experience operating at an enterprise level and driving change across multiple teams
Experience And Education
- Undergraduate degree required. Graduate degree is an asset
- 7 to 10 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, technology transformation, or related fields
- Experience working in large, complex organizations is strongly preferred
