Lecturer/Assistant Professor - Cardiothoracic Imaging - Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre

We are recruiting two full‑time faculty members at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor: a Breast Imaging Radiologist and a Cardiothoracic Imaging Radiologist. The anticipated start dates are November 1, 2026 for the Breast Imaging position and July 1, 2026 for the Cardiothoracic position or shortly thereafter.

Breast Imaging Radiologist – Responsibilities

- Cover all aspects of breast imaging, including mammography, tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and breast procedures in all modalities.
- Actively participate in all academic endeavors within the Department of Medical Imaging, including teaching at undergraduate, postgraduate and fellowship levels.
- Participate in divisional research activities and conduct protected academic research.

Breast Imaging Radiologist – Qualifications

- MD degree or equivalent.
- Board‑certified or Board‑eligible in Diagnostic Imaging from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the American Board of Radiology, or an international equivalent.
- Eligible for medical licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
- Formal fellowship training in Breast Imaging.
- Academic rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
- Compensation on a fee‑for‑service model; estimated income $300,000 per annum for a full‑time equivalent, with opportunities for increase.

Cardiothoracic Imaging Radiologist – Responsibilities

- Work across all thoracic and cardiac imaging modalities, including CXR, CT, and MRI.
- Lead multidisciplinary rounds and resident/fellow teaching rounds.
- Participate in the on‑call rotation program.
- Teach medical students, radiology residents, and cardiothoracic fellows.
- Conduct professional development, cooperative and individual research with protected academic time.

Cardiothoracic Imaging Radiologist – Qualifications

- MD or equivalent.




- Board‑certified or Board‑eligible in Diagnostic Imaging from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the American Board of Radiology, or an international equivalent.
- Eligible for medical licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
- Sufficient experience to report thoracic CXR, CT, and MRI and to teach thoracic imaging.
- At least one year of post‑residency fellowship training in thoracic imaging or cardiothoracic imaging.
- Evidence of excellence in teaching and research.
- Academic rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
- Compensation on a fee‑for‑service model; estimated income $300,000 per annum for a full‑time equivalent, with opportunities for increase.
