This role ensures the timely and accurate completion of month-end close activities, financial reporting, reconciliations, audits, and system integrations, while acting as a key point of contact for intercompany and cross-functional accounting needs. With a high level of expertise and independence, the Team Lead operates in a fast-paced environment and requires minimal supervision.**In this role, you will:*** Ensure timely and effective support to all departments/field offices relative to accounting, analysis and controls* Month end closing process – reviewing and posting general journal entries* Co-ordinate and liaise with intercompany entities including intercompany statement issuance and issue resolution* Review and approve monthly variance analysis on financial statements* Review and approve monthly and quarterly account reconciliations* Review and approve various monthly and quarterly reports due to the Global consolidation team* Assist in the coordination of the half-year, interim,



SOX, and year-end audits* Support income as well as indirect tax filings by providing statutory financial information* Assist in the completion of the US Census reports* Research and make recommendations on accounting issues based on US GAAP* Direct management of junior/intermediate accountants (ie. provide mentorship/guidance, vacation approvals, performance/pay reviews, etc.)* Coordinate and review audit files* Coordinate and lead accounting related projects/initiatives**What you bring:*** CPA designation preferred, with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a fast-paced workplace* Workday experience is preferred with strong systems and integration experience, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve data or workflow issues.* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with solid analytical and problem-solving skills* Proven experience leading or mentoring junior and intermediate accountants* Payroll experience is an asset; PLP or PCP certification considered a bonus* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.* Advanced skills and experience in MS Office (Excel) Microsoft* Microsoft Dynamics AX or Microsoft Dynamics 365 knowledge would be considered an assetPursuant to the laws regarding job postings where the position is located in, Colliers is disclosing the following information:Area/Location Specific: Vancouver, BCApproximate Salary Range for Role: $85,350 to $105,000Our compensation ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
