Mechanical Product Designer – Engineer

Location: Sebringville, Ontario

Schedule: Full‑time, On‑site (Monday–Friday)

We work closely with manufacturing, sales, and customers to continuously improve existing equipment and develop the next generation of agricultural technology.

Position Overview

As a Mechanical Product Designer/Engineer, you will work closely with an experienced engineering team to support the design, development, and continuous improvement of Nuhn equipment. This role combines product development, detailed mechanical design, and hands‑on collaboration with manufacturing to bring new concepts from idea to production.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for agricultural equipment including tankers, pumping systems, and application equipment.
- Create detailed 3‑D models, manufacturing drawings, and bills of materials using CAD software.
- Perform engineering calculations and analysis to ensure components meet strength, durability, and performance requirements.
- Work closely with manufacturing and fabrication teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
- Support prototype builds, testing,



and validation of new products and design improvements.
- Participate in troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives for existing products.
- Assist with field testing and evaluation of equipment performance when required.
- Select materials and components based on performance requirements, manufacturing processes, and cost considerations.
- Collaborate with purchasing, production, service, and sales teams to ensure designs meet operational and customer needs.

Skills and Experience

- Robust mechanical aptitude and practical problem‑solving ability.
- Solid understanding of machine design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience designing fabricated structures and mechanical assemblies.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Hands‑on mindset with interest in seeing designs implemented in production.

Assets

- Hydraulic systems and fluid power components.
- Agricultural or heavy mobile equipment.
- Pumps, drivetrains, or power transmission systems.
- Welded steel fabrications and structural design.
- Manufacturing processes including welding, machining, and assembly.

Qualifications

- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field.

Employment Details

Salary: $25.00–$40.00 per hour (hourly)

Employment Type: Permanent, Full‑time
