Resource Manager, Post Production and Visual Effects Role PurposeWe are seeking a highly motivated individual to lead resourcing for our post‑production and visual effects (VFX) team. This role oversees talent allocation across a wide range of disciplines—including editorial, color, finishing, motion graphics, CG, compositing, and technical pipeline support—ensuring the right specialists are matched to the right stages of the post and VFX process.You will manage resource planning across varying skill levels and capabilities, while also supporting cross‑agency collaboration and sourcing external talent to meet complex project requirements, tight delivery schedules, and evolving program needs. The ideal candidate will operate as a central liaison between executive leadership, production, project management, and creative teams, ensuring accurate workforce forecasting, optimizing throughput across offline/online, and maintaining operational efficiency throughout the entire post‑production and visual effects pipeline. Knowledge of post‑production software and workflow preferred.Key AccountabilitiesManage & maintain the resource management tool (Resource Guru/ Workfront/SmartSheet), ensuring accuracy in staffing, capacity planning, and operational scalability. Manage and source freelance and external partners, maintain up‑to‑date talent information, and conduct quarterly reviews of new talent with creative and VFX teams.Day to day assigning appropriate task to talent to meet the schedule and quality demands.Oversee the onboarding process for all permanent and freelance resourcing needs on the account – ensuring compliance and finance approvals and sets up. Aid in the tech set up and requirements needed for the freelance resources.



Lead both workflow and resource forecasting exercises.Determining when after hours and weekend work is needed and ensuring teams are supported. Inform and manage out of office and communication. Demonstrates excellent time and project management skills, with a strong ability to assess resource limitations and align them with demanding schedulesMaintain comprehensive account documentation—including onboarding materials, training guides, process workflows, presentation deck templates, and client requirements—to ensure all team members stay aligned and informed. Work with the finance team in maintaining necessary POs and ensure payments for external support (freelancers, contractors, etc.) are processing in a timely manner May be needed to support on producer tasks and assist the producers in tasks to complete a delivery. Act as a facilitator for internal and external process implementation governance.Stay abreast of industry trends and developments and recent applications, specifically how AI can enhance the workflow. Qualifications/Nice-to-Haves:5-8 years of Industry experience. Background in an integrated agency environment and/or post/video production studio, including resource and/or project/production management, as well as experience and understanding of the post-production process. Familiarity with resourcing, sourcing talent, and video production. Understanding of basic post-production tools, such as Premiere. Strategic thinker with a proactive, positive, solution-oriented mindset and exceptional communication skillsProven ability to lead meetings with multiple stakeholders, including account leadership. Self-directed, detail-oriented, problem solver with a desire to build within a uniquely creative and evolving, fast-paced environmentStrategic thinker who can maneuver through the weeds while keeping sight on the bigger picture and making decisions to continue momentum towards the end goal
