Responsibilities

- Act as the Finance function’s operational owner of service contract revenue processes across Canada.
- Own the full lifecycle of elevator maintenance service contracts Billing, including setup, renewals, amendments, and cancellations.
- Ensure contract pricing, escalation clauses, scope of work and billing rules are applied correctly and aligned with company financial policies and revenue recognition practices.
- Lead national billing operations for recurring maintenance billing and time-and-materials (labour and materials).
- Identify and resolve billing gaps, missed escalations and contract discrepancies to ensure contracted revenue is fully captured.
- Maintain accurate contract base data and perform reconciliations between contract portfolio, billed revenue and financial reporting.
- Support monthly and year-end close activities related to service revenue, including investigations, adjustments and coordination with Finance.
- Support working capital objectives by improving billing timeliness, invoice accuracy and dispute resolution.
- Act as a key functional owner for Salesforce Service Cloud / Billing and Billtrust, including data validation, issue resolution, testing, and user support.
- Support system implementations, upgrades and new process rollouts and drive adoption of standardized practices across branches.
- Identify billing errors or revenue leakage, quantify financial impact and coordinate corrective actions with branches and finance leadership.
- Lead and develop the national billing team, including hiring, coaching, training and workload planning.
- Provide guidance to branches on contract interpretation, billing practices and resolution of complex customer billing matters.
- Partner cross-functionally with Service, Sales, Finance, Accounts Receivable, and IT to resolve issues and improve end-to-end execution.
- Identify process inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications





- 7+ years of experience in service contract administration, billing, or service operations (elevator, HVAC, fire/life safety, or similar industry preferred).
- Experience supervising or coordinating a team in a billing, finance or service operations environment.
- Solid understanding of maintenance service contracts and time-and-materials billing.
- Experience working with ERP/CRM billing platforms (Salesforce Service Cloud/Billing, Billtrust or similar) in a business process ownership or super-user capacity
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency.
- Comfortable learning new systems and supporting process or system changes.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (CPA designation or equivalent financial experience strongly preferred).
- Experience supporting financial close, reconciliations or audit processes in a service or contract-based business environment preferred.
