ATB Cormark Capital Markets is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Investment Banking Analyst to join our Metals and Mining team in Toronto. The successful candidate will play a key role in executing transactions, preparing offering documents, conducting industry research, and developing financial models. Accountabilities

- Develop presentation materials to support our clients’ decision‑making.
- Support deal teams in the execution of advisory and financing mandates with increasing levels of responsibility and accountability over time.
- Evaluate and analyze the financial strength of corporate clients, including performing valuation analysis and building complex financial models.
- Conduct in‑depth industry and company‑specific research to identify key market trends, risks, and actionable opportunities.
- Maintain and develop databases and spreadsheets.
- Perform various tasks assisting senior team members in deal execution and client coverage efforts.

Experience & Requirements

- A university degree with a focus on Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting or Engineering.
- A Master’s degree or CFA, CPA, CA, CBV designation is a plus.
- 0‑2 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, or a related financial services role.
- Experience in the metals and mining sector is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
- Knowledge of Bloomberg and S&P; Capital IQ is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to balance competing priorities, timelines and requests while maintaining a high standard of work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong interest in the metals and mining industry and a commitment to building a career in investment banking.

Salary

$110,000 base salary, plus an annual discretionary bonus.
