Who we’re looking for:

Rogers tv is looking for freelance producers in various markets across Canada.These freelancers will produce short-form community news stories as assigned by their Station Manager. Successful candidates have a passion for local news and information and an interest to collaborate with community members to bring outstanding local content to our viewers in their regions.

Available markets:

- Parksville, BC
- Duncan, BC
- Squamish, BC
- Red Deer, AB
- Lethbridge, AB
- Central Ontario (Collingwood, Midland, Orillia)
- London, ON
- Moncton, NB
- St. John's, NL

What you will do…

- Produce short form, local news content as approved, ensuring its local relevance and high production quality.




- Build and maintain relationships within the local community to foster contributions to relevant and timely programming.

What you will bring…

- Editorial savvy and robust news skills.
- A team player attitude that builds relationships with colleagues and engages the local community.
- Proficient understanding of media production tools and technologies, coupled with the editorial, writing and reporting skills required to create timely and captivating content.
- Self-starter who works well with minimal direction.
