Your Next Challenge Reporting to Senior Civil Project Engineer, you will be part of the Capital Projects Department. You will support the engineering, construction, commissioning, and close‑out of projects, ensuring that goals and objectives are achieved while promoting Agnico Eagle’s values, the Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and environmental stewardship. Collaborate with Senior Project Engineers to provide field engineering support to the Construction Team. Assist Construction Superintendent and Supervisors with the execution of the capital projects portfolio, including on‑site field inspections. Collaborate with QA/QC Specialists and third‑party vendors to ensure projects are built to specification. Support development of project estimates and preparation/submission of Application for Expenditures requests. Collaborate with the procurement group to execute scopes of work, tenders, technical bid evaluations, and assist with general contract management. Support project schedule development in alignment with business requirements. Support Construction Supervisors in managing construction activities, monitoring daily progress, coordinating activities, and resolving conflicts; ensure adherence to allconstruction health, safety, security, and environmental policies and comply with applicable legal regulations. Collaborate with the Projects Cost Controller,
Site Contract Administrators to manage project costs, review actuals, provide forward‑looking projections, identify cost deviations, and recommend remedial actions to stay on budget. Contribute to completion of project progress reports. What You Need to Succeed Post‑secondary education in engineering – Civil / Structural preferred. Strong technical and engineering knowledge to support project development phases. 2–3 years’ experience in engineering/construction. Previous experience in mining and gold process plants an asset. Communication and presentation skills (oral and written), including report writing and presentation. Interpersonal, problem‑solving, customer‑service orientation, and team skills. Conceptual abilities and capacity to develop creative solutions. Ability to establish priorities and work under pressure to meet project deadlines. Effective problem‑solving skills with a results‑oriented approach. Strong analytical skills. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, AutoCAD & PowerPoint. Your Work Schedule Schedule: 7/7 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine. Compensation Statement In accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity.
