Title: ServiceNow Developer
Location: Canada, remote
Seniority: Intermediate
Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extension for another 24 months
Work Authorization: any (candidate must be authorized to work in CA)
Job Summary
The contact center program is initiated to bring consistent service to 80+ contact centers located within different ministries. Reporting to the Contact Centre Service Owner, the resource will participate in development and maintenance needs identified within the contact center program. This includes ServiceNow capabilities, ServiceNow integration with CX-One and associated tools.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and implement the Client features in ServiceNow. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Client solution in ServiceNow and the integrations. A ServiceNow Developer applies a broad knowledge of various technical areas to foresee and rectify problems.
- Liaises with business units and program areas to ensure solutions meet current and strategic ministry needs and requirements.
- Provide ServiceNow functional and technical expertise.
- Configure and customize ServiceNow modules to meet requirements ensuring the integrity and sustainability of system configuration.
- Execute internal testing (unit testing) and support UAT activities.
- Provide overall Technical Solution Quality Assurance (QA).
- Support warranty activities as required.
- Support transition to operations (hand‑off) to support teams.
- Provide and maintain technical documentation of design and changes.
- Certified ServiceNow Application Developer (CAD) and/or Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- Participate in agile delivery meetings.
- Able to quickly understand application functionalities and processes.
- Handle and fix production defects efficiently.
- Provide tracking and reporting of time and status on all work as required.
- Identify and coordinate release schedules.
- Ensure planned releases remain on schedule and on track.
Requirements
- College or Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field of study.
- Proposed resource has agreed to a Criminal Records Check and Enhanced Security Clearance including a credit check prior to commencement.
- Certified ServiceNow Application Developer (CAD) and/or Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- Experience in designing, building, testing, deploying, and supporting applications in a controlled production environment.
- Experience in ServiceNow configuration, customization and development.
- Experience in ServiceNow CSM module.
- Experience with Contact Centre Platform.
- Experience with software development processes, and all associated best practices, methods, standards, tools, and policies.
- Experience working in or for the public sector.
- Experience writing and maintaining technical documentation.
- Experience developing and maintaining web services, JSON REST API and Message queuing services using .NET C# services.
- Experience with ServiceNow AI capabilities.
- Experience with various software development methodologies (i.e. agile, waterfall, scrum, Kanban, etc.).
