Overview
We are seeking an experienced and energetic Café Floor Manager to lead our service team.
This role involves overseeing daily café activities, working alongside and managing staff of between 3 and 7 team members, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. Previous hospitality experience is highly valued. Trafiq has been a part of this vibrant community of Riley Park/Mount Pleasant for fifteen years!
Duties
Supervise daily café operations, including barista service, food preparation and customer service
Manage and train staff to ensure high standards of hospitality and efficiency
Manage day to day product inventories
Ensure service team has up to date and detailed product knowledge
Assign tasks, give direction to team members making sound decisions in an ever changing cafe workplace
Uphold our small company's policies & procedures
Set the tone for an energetic and welcoming cafe
Get to know our loyal clientele of fifteen years and also welcome new customers with equal warmth and hospitality
Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
Ensure the cleanliness and organization behind the line and dining area
Lead by example and maintain a positive work environment that encourages teamwork
Experience
Proven supervising experience in food & beverage service
Strong background in front of house cafe operations
Experience with Micros POS or similar cash handling systems
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating welcoming atmospheres
