Adecco is currently hiring a Distribution Associate for a full-time temporary opportunity. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and hands-on individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and being involved in the full shipping process—from packing to documentation and dispatch.
The successful candidate will support both domestic and international shipping operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all outbound shipments.
- Location: Ottawa, ON
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (standard business hours)
- Pack and prepare finished goods for shipment across North America and international destinations
- Apply country-specific labels and ensure all packaging meets shipping requirements
- Load products onto trucks multiple times per week, ensuring accuracy between packing slips and actual shipments
- Prepare and complete export documentation including commercial invoices, packing slips, bills of lading, and check sheets
- Coordinate both air and ground shipments while ensuring compliance with international shipping standards
- Handle special shipment requests for both inventory and non-inventory items
- Maintain adequate inventory levels of shipping supplies including boxes, skids, and courier materials
- Ensure all shipments are processed accurately and efficiently to meet deadlines
- Support additional shipping and logistics-related tasks as required
Requirements
- Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
- Experience in shipping, logistics,
or warehouse operations preferred
- Familiarity with international shipping documentation and processes is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Comfortable with physical tasks such as packing and loading shipments
- Basic computer skills and ability to manage documentation accurately
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
