Scheduling Requirements

- FT and PT positions available
- Flexibility for day, evening, and overnight shifts preferred
- MUST be able to commit to a consistent, ongoing, weekly schedule for the foreseeable future
- Available and willing to see multiple clients throughout the day

We are looking for awesome, self‑driven Personal Support Workers to work throughout Simcoe and York Region.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Provide personal care to clients as outlined in their care plans
- Provide companionship and light housekeeping (whatever it takes to help a person stay at home)
- Prepare meals in accordance to the client and/or the family's request (must be open to preparing different kinds of cuisine)
- Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with their ADLs that is within the scope of practice for a Personal Support Worker
- Assists clients in all activities of daily living/hygiene assistance, bathing, grooming, linen changes and so forth
- Assists clients with transfers, ambulation and exercises
- Meets the safety needs of the client and uses equipment safely and properly
- Functions within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practices safely and competently within the job description
- Completes records and documentation accurately and thoroughly

Requirements

- MUST have a valid driver's license and reliable access to a car that can be used for daily work
- Ability to travel between assignments within designated areas of work, an asset if you can travel to rural/remote areas




- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English
- PSW certification from an approved and recognized educational institution or International nursing/doctorate Certification
- Negative TB Test completed within the last year
- Valid CPR/First Aid Certificate
- Valid WHMIS2015 Certificate of Completion
- COVID Vaccination Receipts subject to an exemption pursuant to Ontario's Human Rights Code
- Immunization for measles, rubella, varicella, tetanus, and Diphtheria required; immunization of Hepatitis B strongly urged
- Valid Criminal Record Check must be completed within the last year
- Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Coordinators when needed
- Requires good judgement, the ability to work independently, and work cooperatively with an interdisciplinary team
- Current/Valid Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) Registration an asset
