Employment Conditions - Planning, Programming and Research Officer – Cultural Safety - Nunavik (Hudson Bay Coast Villages)
Salaries:
- Between $31.03 and $54.98 per hour, depending on experience

Northern premiums and other employment conditions:
- Isolation allowance (without dependents) between $233.38 and $275.30 per week, depending on the village
- Isolation allowance (with dependents) between $411.40 and $485.36 per week, depending on the village
- Retention bonus between $139.13 and $272.48 per week, depending on the village and seniority.
- Cost of living allowance between $58.40 and $188.72 per week, depending on the village.
Main Responsibilities – Planning,
Programming and Research Officer – Cultural Safety - Nunavik (Hudson Bay Coast Villages)
- Contribute to identifying innovative solutions to address issues raised by partners and CSI departments;
- Implement the CSI cultural safety deployment plan;
- Support the organization’s departments in developing mechanisms to ensure alignment and continuity of services between Inuit communities/organizations and the institution’s various facilities (protocols, care pathways, collaboration agreements);
- Support and advise departments on cultural safety matters;
- Assist teams in adopting culturally relevant practices (knowledge transfer, training);
- Communicate Inuit interests and needs within various organizational committees;
- Collaborate with Human Resources on an Inuit cultural component for non-Indigenous staff coming to work at CSI;
- Collaborate with regional partners to advance cultural safety within the Nunavik health and social services network;
- Lead and facilitate various meetings and committees, both internally and externally.
Requirements – Planning, Programming and Research Officer – Cultural Safety - Nunavik (Hudson Bay Coast Villages)
Academic
- Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the position
or
- Relevant university certificate
or
- Candidates who have not completed a university degree or certificate but commit to completing one may be considered
Other requirements
- Bilingual in French and English
- Fluency in Inuktitut is required
- Good knowledge of the Indigenous cultural safety approach
- Very good knowledge and understanding of the health and social services sector, including its administration and legal framework
