Heavy Equipment Technician (Concrete Pumping Equipment) – Vancouver Area
A leading supplier of industrial pumping equipment, parts and servicing is seeking a hands-on Heavy Equipment Technician to join their BC team, working on specialized concrete pumping equipment in a shop and field-based environment.

You will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on concrete pumping equipment. This role combines hands-on technical work with collaboration across the service team and occasional customer interaction. Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and ensure equipment is protected and job-ready
- Accurately complete work orders, parts tracking, and time records
- Communicate effectively with internal team members and support customers when needed
- Contribute to a safe, organized, and efficient shop environment
- Support continuous improvement in processes and team performance
What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude with experience in heavy equipment or similar
- Solid hydraulic troubleshooting experience (highly preferred)
- Experience with concrete pumping equipment is a major asset
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment
- Comfortable stepping into an established team dynamic and earning respect through competence and character
- Strong-willed and confident—able to challenge the status quo constructively rather than defaulting to “that’s how it’s always been done”
Compensation
- $35–$40/hour: Technicians with solid hands-on experience
- $40–$45/hour: Candidates with leadership experience who remain hands-on
- Up to $55/hour: Exceptional candidates with strong technical and management experience
