We are seeking qualified individuals for the role of Energy Manager.
Please note that this is not a fly-in, fly-out position and will be based in Labrador West, NL.
This position will require candidates to work a Monday to Friday schedule 8 hour shifts.
Job Responsibilities: Energy Analysis:
Utilizing available production information and other energy data to identify opportunities for energy conservation and cost reduction.
Implementation of Energy Saving Measures: Develop and implement energy management plans and strategies to enhance energy efficiency.
Conduct Energy Audits: Perform regular energy audits to assess energy consumption and propose efficiency improvements.
Collaboration: Work with technical and management staff to coordinate energy efficiency programs and support key stakeholders in enery management planning and project implementation.
Project Management: Coordinate and administer project documentation for all related funding applications and project development agreements.
Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor energy performance, prepare reports on energy consumption and savings, and present findings to stakeholders.
Training and Education: Train staff on energy conservation measures and promote sustainable energy practices within the organization.
Skills and Qualifications: Practical knowledge applicable to the mining and mineral processing environment, including knowledge of energy efficiency measures specific to this industry.
Project management experience and ability to progress on projects independently.
Up to date knowledge of industry regulations, policies and standards related to energy management.
Knowledge of computers and ability to operate computer systems and software applications including Microsoft Excel, Word, Power-point and Outlook.
Familiarity with energy simulation software, and energy management systems.
Sound level of problem solving/analytical skills, strong organizational and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to deal with tact, diplomacy and courtesy.
Excellent work ethic and attendance record.
Education & Experience: A Bachelors Degree in Engineering or an Engineering Technology Diploma.
Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designation is an asset.
Minimum of 3-5 years experience in an energy management role in an industrial setting.
License: Drivers License (Required)
