Management Resources is currently working with a well-established company based in Victoria, BC, in the HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical services industry, seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support their finance team during a period of transition and system implementation. This is a 4-month contract where you will work closely with the CFO and Controller, playing a key role in supporting day-to-day accounting operations while driving process improvements and ERP implementation initiatives.

Location & Work Model

- Hybrid – 3 days in-office
- Victoria, BC
- 40 hours per week
- Business casual environment

Key Responsibilities

n

- Oversee day-to-day accounting and support a team of 2 accounting staff
- Lead the month-end close process and assist with financial statement preparation (ASPE)
- Perform and clean up GL account reconciliations
- Document current business processes and support process improvements
- Assist with the implementation of a new ERP system (QuickBooks Online or NetSuite)




- Support additional ad hoc projects as needed

Qualifications

n

- CPA (or equivalent) with progressive accounting experience
- Strong full-cycle accounting experience, including month-end, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Experience with process documentation and improvement initiatives
- Robust communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Detail-oriented and accountable

Systems & Tools

n

- QuickBooks Desktop (current system)
- ERP implementation exposure (QBO or NetSuite preferred)
- Intermediate to advanced Excel
