Wildly Empowered is seeking an experienced leader from the mental health sector to join our Board of Directors. We are looking for a values-aligned individual who is passionate about advancing mental health awareness, education, and access to support. This Director will bring sector expertise, strategic perspective, and governance leadership to help guide the organization as we continue to grow our impact.

About the Role

n

As a Board Director, you will work alongside a group of committed leaders to provide strategic oversight, ensure strong governance, and help advance the mission of Wildly Empowered. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in mental health, psychology, psychiatry, social work, public health, or mental health research, and is interested in contributing their expertise at a governance level.

Responsibilities

n

- Strategic guidance on mental health trends, research, and best practices
- Insight into programs, partnerships, and community impact in the mental health space
- Participation in Board discussions and decision-making
- Support in strengthening relationships within the mental health ecosystem
- Advocacy and ambassadorship for Wildly Empowered within your professional network

Qualifications

n





- Senior leadership in mental health organizations, healthcare systems, or public health
- Clinical expertise in psychology, psychiatry, counselling, or social work
- Academic or research leadership in mental health
- Experience working with community mental health programs or policy initiatives

Required Skills

n

- Time Commitment: Approximately 4-5 hours per month
- Participation in monthly Board meetings
- Occasional committee work and key organizational events

n

Term

n

Board Directors serve a two-year term, with the possibility of renewal.
