Role Overview

n

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to contribute to the development of our application portfolio. In this role, you will work on both front-end and back-end components of a complex, AI-powered product, collaborating closely with senior engineers, AI/ML specialists, and product stakeholders. In this role, you will contribute to the design and implementation of a complex application, helping to build scalable and reliable features under the guidance of senior technical leadership.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team — including data scientists, software engineers, and machine learning experts — to integrate AI-driven capabilities into seamless user experience.

This position is based in Montreal, Canada, and offers a unique opportunity to shape a product from the ground up in a highly cutting-edge environment and grow into a technical leadership role managing direct reports as the team scales.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Development:



Contribute to the development of the mobile and web application across front-end and back-end components, following established architectural patterns and best practices.
- Integrate AI Visual Recognition: Integrate AI-powered visual recognition features into the application by working with existing models and APIs developed by the AI/ML team.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to integrate AI-driven capabilities into the product and ensure they function reliably in real-world usage
- Feature Development: Develop, test, and deploy new features and functionalities in the app to ensure a smooth and engaging user experience.
- Code Quality & Optimization: Participate in code reviews, write clean and maintainable code, security, and optimize application performance to meet strict latency targets.

Mandatory Qualifications and Skillsn

- Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Software Experience: 3+ years of industry experience as a software developer working on production applications, with a strong portfolio of mobile and web application projects.
- Computer Vision: Experience with computer vision methods and tooling such as OpenCV for tasks such as image processing, object detection, tracking, or visual recognition
- Collaboration:



Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Experience working in interdisciplinary teams (with product, AI/ML engineers, designers) to deliver integrated products.
- Problem-Solving: Creative and analytical mindset with a passion for solving complex problems. Enthusiasm for innovation at the crossroads of art and technology.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment. Eagerness to learn new tools and technologies as needed.
- Language: Professional proficiency in English. French language skills are a plus but not required.

Preferred Qualifications and Skillsn

- Front-end & Back-end Skills: Expertise in full-stack development experience within React ecosystem (Zustand, TanStack), React Native, TensorFlowLite, OpenCV , hands-on experience in native languagessuch as Swift and Kotlin.
- AWS: Experience working with backend services and cloud infrastructure within the AWS ecosystem including APIs, data storage, and authentication (SageMaker Studio, CloudWatch, RDS, ECR or S2).
- CI/CD: Ability to design and maintain production‑grade CI/CD pipelines for both application and machine learning workloads, covering DevOps and MLOps practices end‑to‑end
- AWS infrastructure: Manage platform infrastructure (Lambda, Gateway, RDS) and maintain the CI/CD deployment pipelines.
