About the Job A leading traffic management and safety infrastructure company is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to support operations across multiple locations in Ontario. This is a primarily field-based role with travel to active job sites, including occasional evening and weekend visits.

The Health & Safety Advisor will play a key role in promoting a solid safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across construction and traffic control operations.

The Role

n

Reporting to the Manager, Health & Safety, the selected candidate will provide guidance, coaching, and technical support to managers, supervisors, and field teams. This role focuses on hazard identification, incident prevention, and ensuring adherence to health and safety legislation and industry best practices.

The position requires a balance of field presence and administrative responsibilities, including inspections, training, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Conduct site inspections, audits,



and hazard assessments to ensure compliance with OHSA and company safety standards.
- Deliver safety training, orientations, and support Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) activities.
- Investigate incidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented and tracked to completion.
- Support WSIB claims management and return-to-work programs in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and documentation while supporting COR and ISO 45001 initiatives.

Qualifications

n

- 3–5 years of progressive experience in Occupational Health & Safety, ideally within construction or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of OHSA, WHMIS, fall protection, traffic control, and other relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Experience with WSIB claims management, COR programs, and ISO 45001 frameworks.
- Excellent communication, training, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to multiple job sites.
