Manager (Public Accounting)

n

Our client is seeking a Manager to provide a range of accounting and financial services to clients. Typically, the position focuses on, compilation engagements, review engagements, corporate and personal taxes, and other engagements within a public accounting firm.

Key Responsibilities:

n

- Review compilations in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
- Completing review engagements and reviewing work performed by junior staff
- Assist clients with corporate tax planning, preparation, and compliance, ensuring adherence to Canadian tax laws and regulations.
- Manage the preparation and filing of taxes for individuals and businesses, including T1, T2, T4’s and other relevant forms.
- Analyze financial data, interpret trends, and provide meaningful insights and recommendations to clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities for additional services.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
- Support and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional development.

Qualifications and Requirements:

n





- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- CPA designation preferred
- Extensive experience in public accounting, with a focus on non-assurance, NTR engagements, corporate tax, and T Forms.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations, including experience with T1, T2, T4’s and other relevant forms.
- Proficiency in using accounting and tax software and tools.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and client relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple engagements simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Leadership abilities and experience in supporting and mentoring junior team members.
- Commitment to continuous learning and career development.
