About the Role
n
Our client is looking for an experienced and detail‑driven Payroll & Benefits Manager to lead end‑to‑end payroll and benefits operations across Canada and the United States. Reporting into the HR function, this role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate payroll delivery, compliant benefits administration, and a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities
n
- Oversee end‑to‑end payroll processing for Canadian and U.S. employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
- Manage and administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans
- Lead open enrollment activities, employee communications, and benefits audits
- Partner with benefits brokers and external vendors to manage renewals, plan changes, and compliance requirements
- Ensure compliance with all Canadian and U.S. payroll, tax, and employment legislation, including statutory reporting and remittances
- Lead, coach,
and develop a payroll and benefits team, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement
- Act as a trusted point of contact for payroll and benefits inquiries, escalations, and problem resolution
What We’re Looking Forn
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field
- 10+ years of payroll and benefits experience, including cross‑border (Canada & U.S.) payroll
- 2+ years of people leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. payroll legislation, taxation, and employment standards
- Experience with multi‑jurisdictional payroll systems (Dayforce experience preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with a service‑oriented approach
