Salary range: 160K - 185K (according to experience)

The Project Director at ASCO is responsible for strategic leadership and overall delivery of large-scale construction projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations, contractual obligations, safety standards, and company goals. This role oversees project managers and multidisciplinary teams across multiple projects, driving performance in safety, quality, schedule, and financial outcomes. He / she is responsible for overall project performance and accountable for client satisfaction and financial results.

Some of the Project Director responsibilities include:

n

- Provide executive oversight of construction projects from award through close-out.
- Lead, manage, and direct project teams of the portfolio of major projects assigned.
- Lead the planning and execution of project strategies, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Resolve high-level project issues and client concerns with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
- Review and approve project schedules, including phasing and logistics plans.
- Ensure quality assurance and control processes are rigorously applied across projects.
- Deliver quality projects on time at or below the established cost budgets.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, contractual, and company safety requirements.
- Manage and mentor Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Superintendents, and support staff.
- Ensure compliance with Ministry of Labour and OSHA regulations.
- Act as the senior point of contact for clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Provide leadership and hands-on oversight all aspects of the projects assigned.

The preferred candidate will have:

n

- Minimum ten (10) years progressive experience in construction project management with a general contractor and projects with values of $10mm or more.
- Proven experience in complex contract types, subcontractor qualification & management, job planning & scheduling.
- Site superintendent or site project management experience an asset.
- Bachelors’ Degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
- Prefer: Project Management Certificate (PMP)
- Gold Seal Certification (GSC)
- Master’s degree (MBA) an asset.
- Advance computer skills using Construction Management & Scheduling Software
- Mandatory: Outlook, Word, Excel, Bluebeam, P6 Scheduling
- Preferred: Revit, CMIC
