About the opportunity:
n
Leading a team of sales professionals, the Regional Foodservice and Distributor Sales Manager manages all aspects of the relationship with the regional key accounts and contracted customers, which involves participating in Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance and Customer Service support of all regional Foodservice and Distributor Sales. The position is accountable for delivering volume, net sales and profitability objectives across all Lactalis branded and private label businesses.

The attributes we are looking for:
n
- Lead and manage a Sales team by hiring, reviewing performance and providing feedback, determining training and development needs, establishing goals and priorities, providing work direction,
and maintaining succession planning. Develop and coach a team to manage customers at both key account and field sales level.
- Develop, implement, and communicate go-to-market strategies on pricing, advertised features for promotions, and merchandising ensuring execution by team members.
- Implement and manage company policies and objectives and communicate to internal and external stakeholders in order to maximize customer service and functional team support.
- Manage assigned budgets for the region by establishing budget needs and obtaining approval.
- Monitor competitive market activity and communicate to senior management recommendations that have a direct effect on Lactalis’s business in the region.
- Develop and execute annual business and trade spend plans for the region in order to achieve Lactalis annual sales volume, net sales, and profitability objectives.
- Develop and administer new customer contracts and contract renewals. Negotiate terms and conditions (i.e. pricing, volume, length, and exclusivity arrangements) and coordinate with senior management and legal to ensure alignment and implementation.
- Implement price increases by coordinating information through Lactalis Trade Marketing to Foodservice and Distributor Sales accounts to ensure effective and timely implementation of price increases as required to meet company deadlines.
- Prepare category reviews and leverage insights to identify sales opportunities and improve Lactalis’s category position. Utilize this information to secure new product listings and implement account, category, and/or regional specific sales and marketing initiatives.
- Forecast weekly sales volume for Lactalis products to ensure adherence to annual plan and optimal product distribution.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Distribution to initiate new business opportunities, resolve issues, and provide optimal customer service.
- Review profitability of existing customers and new customer opportunities to ensure acceptable margins are being obtained.
- Monitor negotiations between Regional Managers and their respective customers. Assist in negotiations of large / strategic customer contracts if and as required.

What you will bring:
n
- University degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five (5) years’ experience including managing regional key accounts, Foodservice Dairy or related industry CPG companies, and managing staff
- Strong analytical, planning, presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication skills (bilingual French/English where applicable)
- Proficient with standard office computer technology such as Microsoft Office products as well as Nielsen and BW/SAP
- In depth knowledge of Lactalis products and business is an asset
- Ability to lead, train, and develop direct reports
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and demands
