Position Overview: Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for procurement activities, including co‑manufactured products, raw materials, and packaging materials, as well as monthly forecasting to suppliers.

The Supply Chain

n

Specialist is an active member of the team and supports the achievement of overall Supply Chain objectives. This position is based out of our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia head office.

n

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Demand

n





Planning & Procurement - Utilize SAP to forecast demand for all co‑manufactured products, raw materials, and packaging components, and provide a 12‑month rolling forecast to suppliers

n

- Create and manage all purchase orders (POs) in SAP and communicate PO placement to external suppliers
- Ensure purchase orders accurately reflect tiered pricing structures
- Monitor open purchase orders and review supplier open‑order reports; initiate appropriate follow‑up to ensure timely delivery
- Source and evaluate alternate suppliers as required
- Monitor and adjust MRP data to support effective demand planning Cross‑Functional & Project Support - Act as the Supply Chain point of contact for bill of material (BOM) changes, communicating status updates to cross‑functional stakeholders
- Serve as the Supply Chain contact for new or revised packaging designs
- Support Innovation and Project teams with procurement‑related activities
- Effectively identify and resolve issues to prevent stock‑outs Systems, Documentation & Compliance - Maintain and update purchasing information records in SAP to ensure vendor and material accuracy
- Create, revise, and maintain SOPs and Work Instructions
- Document deviations and contribute to Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) Operational Support & Continuous Improvement - Assist with the execution of Operations continuous improvement initiatives




- Provide support for production planning and traceability during PTO coverage General - Perform other duties as assigned from time to time Required Qualifications:
- Strong team player with excellent problem‑solving skills and a positive, proactive attitude
- Ability to work independently and apply critical thinking when resolving supply chain issues
- Experience in purchasing, inventory control, and demand planning within a GMP or controlled environment
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and ERP systems
- SAP and demand planning experience preferred
- 5+ years of experience in a supply chain or manufacturing environment preferred Language Skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, SOPs, and other technical documentation
- Ability to prepare routine reports and present data analysis clearly and concisely
- Ability to respond effectively to internal and external inquiries Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations - Relevant certifications or credentials in supply chain management or a related field are considered an asset Work Environment The work environment characteristics described herein are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this role.
