We are hiring a Project Accountant for a rapidly growing company in the Edmonton area! This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to take ownership of full lifecycle reporting and accounting for projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end project accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Track project costs, revenue, and profitability, ensuring accuracy and alignment with financial goals.
- Prepare and analyze project financial statements, identifying variances and providing insights.
- Distribute financial reports to stakeholders and provide key insights to support decision-making.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure proper cost allocations and financial controls.
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Assist with process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in project accounting.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes related to project accounting.
- Assist with audits and financial reviews as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

- Experience: Minimum 3+ years in a project accounting role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of project cost tracking, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
