About the role: This is an exciting opportunity to join a major financial institution's operations team in Edmonton as an Operations Officer II. You will be part of a 6-person team reporting within a culture rated good to excellent. The role focuses on back-office mortgage and security processing with no telephone customer contact, though daily collaboration via Teams meetings is required.

This position handles confidential customer data and requires someone who takes ownership of their development while thriving in a pooled workflow environment where teamwork directly impacts service level achievement.

Responsibilities:
n
- Execute security and mortgage charging processes accurately and efficiently
- Perform loan programming and system data entry
- Draft and prepare legal correspondence to solicitors regarding new security engagements
- Maintain daily communication with team members through Microsoft Teams and participate in required meetings
- Collaborate within a pooled volume environment where all team members share workload to meet service level agreements
- Uphold quality and productivity standards as primary performance metrics

Must Have Responsibilities:

- Maintain strict confidentiality and security protocols when handling sensitive customer data
- Complete comprehensive training program onsite 5 days per week until certified for independent work

Experience:
n
- Experience in back-office operations, financial services, or banking environments preferred
- Demonstrated success in collaborative, team-based work settings with shared accountability

Skillsets:

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Quick learner with ability to adapt to changing processes and systems

- Degree or Diploma is considered an asset

Additional Details:
n
- Rotational Shift Schedule: This position operates on a rotational shift basis ranging from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, or 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Training period requires strict 5 days per week onsite attendance until completion.
- Post-training: 4 days onsite, 1 day work from home.
- Overtime: Available on voluntary basis only when volumes are high.
- Performance Measurement: Based on quality and productivity metrics against service level agreements.
- Culture: Good to excellent; candidate can be either introverted or extroverted provided they are a good communicator.
- Customer Data: This position requires access to confidential customer data; successful candidates must pass required security and privacy checks.
