Job Title: L2/L3 Application Support Analyst – Market Data

Location: Montreal

n

Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days/week onsite – Day 1 onboarding in-office required)

Start Date: As soon as possible

Contract Duration: Long-term

Your mission (should you choose to accept it):

n

As an L2/L3 Application Support Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting, monitoring, and troubleshooting real-time Market Data systems.

n

You will handle complex production issues, perform in-depth technical analysis, and contribute to continuous service improvement.

n

Your day-to-day responsibilities:

n

- Act as the primary point of contact for all Market Data-related service requests and incidents
- Take full ownership of production issues, with a proactive and resolution-focused mindset
- Independently resolve Level 2 incidents, with minimal escalation to L3 (engineering/development teams)
- Perform deep technical analysis across applications, operating systems, and network layers
- Monitor and troubleshoot real-time data flows and network protocols (Multicast, TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP)
- Use Unix/Linux tools for system diagnostics and performance analysis (netstat, mpstat, grep, awk, etc.)
- Collaborate closely with application teams, infrastructure, network teams, and external vendors
- Manage operational queues while ensuring SLA adherence
- Participate in on-call and weekend rotation when required
- Create and maintain run-books, procedures,



and technical documentation
- Contribute to best practices, operational controls, and service quality improvements

Your future team:

n

You will be part of a collaborative and experienced production support team that values ownership, communication, and technical excellence, operating in a high-availability environment.

n

Your Tech Stack:

n

- Unix / Linux environments
- Scripting: Shell (Perl and Python are strong assets)
- Networking & real-time messaging: Multicast, TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP
- Unix monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Databases: SQL
- Market Data vendors (nice to have): Refinitiv / Exegy

You are:

n

- 3+ years of experience in L2/L3 Application Support
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems
- Comfortable with Shell scripting
- Knowledgeable in networking fundamentals and real-time data architectures
- Able to manage multiple incidents simultaneously in a high-pressure environment
- Clear communicator with strong stakeholder interaction skills
- Willing to work in a hybrid setup and participate in on-call rotations
- Motivated by a true application support role with high operational impact
