Insight Global is looking for an Engineering and Quality Manager to join our client in the industrial manufacturing industry on a full time, permanent basis. This individual will lead the Engineering, Quality, and R&D; functions within a manufacturing environment, serving as a hands-on technical leader and key cross-functional partner. Day to day, they will drive manufacturing process improvements, oversee quality systems and laboratory operations, analyze production and quality data to improve performance, and lead R&D; and new product development initiatives.

They will own ISO 9001:2015 compliance, manage audits and certifications, conduct root cause and failure analysis, and lead corrective actions tied to customer and production issues. The role partners closely with Production, Procurement, Sales, and Marketing, supports technical customer inquiries and audits, delivers internal and external technical training, manages capital, lab, and R&D; budgets, and mentors a small engineering and quality team while driving continuous improvement initiatives grounded in Lean manufacturing principles.

Must Haves

n

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing-based engineering, quality, and/or R&D; role
- Prior experience leading, mentoring, or managing direct reports
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality systems and regulatory compliance
- Experience analyzing production and quality data (KPIs, SPC, root cause analysis, failure analysis)
- Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent
- Hands-on understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., welding, metal forming, machining, lathe cutting)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Plussesn

- Experience managing Capital Expenditures, laboratory operations, or R&D; budgets
- Background in piping, industrial sealing, or similar industrial manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with fluoroplastic materials such as PTFE
- French, Spanish, or Mandarin language proficiency
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel domestically and internationally
