Position Summary

n

Reporting to the Director of Construction, the Construction Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of renovation and new-build projects from design development through to completion and turnover. Acting as the owner’s representative, this role carries full accountability for schedule, budget, quality, and the successful realization of the project vision.

The successful candidate brings a disciplined, solutions-oriented approach and is comfortable operating in complex, fast-paced environments. They lead with clarity and purpose, align diverse stakeholder groups, and consistently drive projects forward with a high standard of execution.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Lead the delivery of projects from design development through construction and final turnover, ensuring alignment with project objectives and overall vision
- Establish and manage project budgets, schedules, and cash flow forecasts, maintaining rigorous financial oversight throughout
- Structure and lead procurement and tendering processes, including the preparation of bid packages and selection of consultants and contractors
- Oversee contract administration from award through to close-out,



ensuring all obligations are met and risks are managed proactively
- Direct and coordinate consultants through the design development and working drawing phases, ensuring a high level of design integrity and technical execution
- Manage the permitting and approvals process, working closely with authorities having jurisdiction to secure timely approvals
- Provide value engineering and constructability leadership, balancing design intent, cost efficiency, and buildability
- Monitor contractor performance and maintain accountability to project scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations
- Anticipate, identify, and resolve project challenges with a proactive and solutions-driven mindset
- Uphold a high standard of quality control, ensuring the finished product meets or exceeds expectations
- Deliver projects on schedule, on budget, and true to the original vision
- Champion a culture of safety, professionalism, and accountability across all project teams
- Support project budgeting at various stages of the development lifecycle
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with consultants, contractors, and industry partners
- Communicate priorities, risks, and key decisions clearly and effectively to all stakeholders

Qualifications

n

- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a Project Manager role within construction or development
- Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects valued at over $20M
- Strong understanding of project delivery, contracts, and construction methodologies
- Proficiency in construction management platforms and Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational, financial management, and communication skills
- Valid BC driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

n

- Experience working in both the developer/owner and general contractor roles
- Strong familiarity with municipal approvals and permitting processes in British Columbia
- Professional designations such as P.Eng, AScT, PMP or Gold Seal

Compensation & Perks

- Base salary range: $100,000 – $130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications
