The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: intermediate teaching experience; strong classroom management skills; the ability and energy to work with multi-age groups and meet the needs of students with a range of learning styles and abilities using a variety of teaching strategies; strong interpersonal, communication, and cooperative skills to communicate with students, staff, and parents in a team oriented approach to teaching and learning; strong formative assessment practices;

experience with RTI (Response to Intervention) systems; ability to integrate technology to enhance student learning; strong interest in innovation and inquiry; and ability to embed local Indigenous culture and ways of knowing into teaching practices. The starting annual salary for a full-time School Teacher position ranges from $66,299 to $116,016, with placement in the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
