Our client, a well-established boutique litigation firm based in downtown Toronto, known for its strong reputation in complex commercial disputes, is seeking an eDiscovery Law Clerk to join their team. This role is Remote Hybrid with 1 day in office.

Responsibilities

n

- Review, organize, and code documents within an eDiscovery platform (Everlaw), including conducting initial privilege and relevancy reviews.
- Organize and prepare legal documents such as applications, pleadings, briefs, and other litigation materials.
- Examine and summarize transcripts of examinations, identifying undertakings and refusals.
- Research, review, and prepare charts, summaries of documentary evidence, motion arguments, bills of costs, affidavits of documents, and motion materials.
- Draft internal and external correspondence.
- Assist with special projects and other litigation support tasks as required.

Requirements

n

- Law Clerk Diploma required.
- 3+ years of litigation experience in a law firm; exposure to commercial litigation is preferred.
- Working knowledge of eDiscovery processes, The Sedona Principles, and the Rules of Civil Procedure.




- Strong technical proficiency with Everlaw, CaseLines, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with document management systems considered an asset.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Robust organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to take initiative and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proven discretion and professionalism in handling highly confidential information.
- Flexibility to adjust working hours during peak periods to meet the demands of active litigation files.
