We’re looking for a Producer & New Business Lead to oversee creative production on existing projects and drive growth for the studio. This is a remote, 3-month freelance contract (PST preferred), requiring 16 hours per week, with potential to extend.

This is a hybrid role for someone who moves naturally between execution and opportunity. You’ll lead video and motion projects from kickoff through delivery, while identifying and pursuing new opportunities for the studio.

You’ll work directly with clients and our creative teams to keep projects on track and within budget, while building relationships and contributing to the growth of Big Hugs.

- Able to operate independently and run projects end-to-end

- Highly organized across tools, assets, and multiple projects
- Comfortable coordinating teams, resources, and workflows
- Actively identifies and pursues new business opportunities
- Keen to build and grow strong relationships
- Positive, collaborative, and ego-free

Key Qualifications
n
- Agency or in-house brand experience
- Background in video and motion production
- Solid understanding of creative production workflows from pre through post
- Knowledge of how creative work gets made and sold
- Experience supporting new business and client growth
- Proficient with project management and collaboration tools (Google Workspace, Frame.io, WhatsApp)

Project Management (60%)

- Manage client communication and expectations
- Own budgets, timelines, and deliverables on active projects
- Coordinate internal resources, schedules, and creative teams
- Deliver work on time, on budget, and to a high standard

New Business Development (40%)
n
- Identify and pursue new client opportunities
- Lead outreach to prospective clients
- Develop proposals and pitch decks
- Help shape Big Hugs brand positioning

$85 CAD / hour

Note: Commission structure is negotiable based on experience, and hours may flex week to week depending on project load.
