Position Summary

The Part time Facility Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations, safety, and maintenance of the school campus. This role focuses on conducting regular site inspections, coordinating maintenance and repair activities, and ensuring that the campus environment remains safe, functional, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities
Campus Inspection & Monitoring
Conduct regular inspections of classrooms, common areas, washrooms, and outdoor spaces
Identify maintenance issues, safety hazards, and operational concerns
Maintain inspection logs and report findings in a timely manner
Maintenance Coordination
Coordinate and schedule repairs with external contractors (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
Follow up on maintenance requests to ensure timely resolution
Perform minor repairs where appropriate (e.g., replacing light bulbs, basic fixes)
Vendor & Contractor Management
Liaise with third-party service providers and contractors
Ensure work is completed according to agreed scope and timelines
Support cost control by obtaining quotes when required
Health & Safety Compliance




Support compliance with health and safety regulations and school policies
Identify and report potential risks or hazards
Assist in emergency response coordination when required
Facility Operations Support
Assist with room setup for events, meetings, or school activities
Support seasonal tasks (e.g., snow removal coordination)
Ensure campus facilities are always operational and presentable

Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience in facility coordination, property management, or maintenance preferred
Basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
Robust organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple vendors and tasks independently
Good communication skills
Hands-on and proactive approach

Working Conditions
Part time schedule (approximately 2–3 days per week)
On-site presence required
Occasional flexibility for urgent maintenance or emergency situations

Preferred (Nice to Have)
Experience working in a school or campus environment
Health & Safety certification (e.g., WHMIS, First Aid)
Basic handyman skills
