Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. We will be opening soon in the downtown area. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tables while maintaining a positive attitude. Prior experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems, including Micros POS, and relay them efficiently to kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation standards are maintained
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, utensils, and service areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist with food preparation when necessary, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently without compromising quality of service
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure a positive dining experience
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations diligently
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant workplace is highly desirable but not required; training will be provided for motivated individuals
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and billing accurately
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety standards is advantageous
- Experience in serving, upselling, cashiering, or food preparation can enhance performance in this role
