Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Computer Vision Engineer focused on Autonomous Systems, based in Port Coquitlam, BC. The role involves developing and implementing computer vision algorithms for UAV systems, building models to analyze visual data, and contributing to the design of autonomous navigation and decision-making systems. The engineer will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, optimize visual detection systems for real-time performance,



and engage in testing and refining solutions to ensure reliable operation in diverse environments.

Qualifications

- Expertise in Computer Vision, including object detection, image segmentation, and 3D reconstruction
- Strong understanding of Pattern Recognition and its applications in autonomous systems
- Solid background in Robotics and autonomous navigation systems
- Knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals, including algorithms, programming (Python, C++, or similar), and machine learning
- Exposure to Data Science, including data analysis and model evaluation
- Experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or OpenCV
- Proficiency in working with large-scale datasets and real-time data processing
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus
- Experience with UAV technologies, sensor integration, or embedded systems development is highly desirable
