Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations within our retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess robust leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and maintaining store standards. Bilingual proficiency and prior supervisory experience are highly valued to support diverse team members and customer base. The Shift Manager plays a critical role in driving sales, managing store performance, and fostering a positive shopping experience for all customers.

Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise daily store operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies.
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to optimize team performance.
- Oversee customer service interactions, resolving issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Monitor sales activities, assist with merchandising strategies, and implement pricing adjustments as needed.
- Handle cash management duties including cashiering, cash handling, and balancing registers accurately.
- Conduct interviews and participate in recruiting efforts to build a strong team.
- Manage inventory purchasing, stock replenishment, and store merchandising to maximize sales opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized store environment.
- Utilize POS systems for transactions, sales tracking, and reporting purposes.




- Coordinate marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase store visibility and sales performance.
- Prepare reports related to sales, payroll, budgeting, and other administrative tasks to support store management.

Requirements

- Proven supervisory or team management experience within retail or similar environments.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff effectively.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse customers and team members.
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling procedures, bookkeeping, and basic math skills.
- Experience in merchandising, pricing strategies, sales management, and marketing initiatives.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities through effective time management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of recruiting processes, interviewing techniques, training & development practices.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes, payroll administration, and administrative experience is preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills with phone etiquette proficiency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50-$37.42 per hour

Expected hours: 34 – 40 per week
