Overview
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Barista to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will craft high-quality coffee beverages, deliver outstanding customer service, and ensure a welcoming café workplace. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create memorable experiences for our guests while maintaining efficient café operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages with precision and care
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Engage with customers in a friendly, professional manner, providing excellent customer service
- Handle food safety protocols, including food handling, preparation, and sanitation standards
- Manage cash transactions accurately using basic math skills and retail math principles
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food preparation zones and serving stations
- Support food service operations by assisting with food preparation and serving as needed
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista or in the food industry with strong coffee knowledge
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods efficiently
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell beverages and promote menu items
- Exceptional customer service skills, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math proficiency for cash handling, cashiering, and retail transactions
