Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Physiotherapy Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves supporting licensed physiotherapists in delivering patient-centered care within a hospital or clinical setting. Responsibilities
- Assist physiotherapists with patient assessments and treatment plans
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is sanitized and ready for use
- Support patients during therapy sessions, including positioning and mobility assistance
- Monitor patient progress and report any concerns to the supervising physiotherapist
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and patient responses
- Educate patients on exercises and activities to support their recovery outside of therapy sessions
- Adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control procedures
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred
- Robust understanding of patient care procedures and medical terminology
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Certification or training as a Physiotherapy Assistant is advantageous but not mandatory
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations
