Job Summary

nWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Dispatcher to coordinate transportation and logistics operations within our supply chain. The ideal candidate will manage freight movements, communicate effectively with carriers and internal teams, and utilize various transportation management systems to ensure timely delivery and efficient operations. This role is essential for maintaining smooth shipping and receiving processes, supporting our commitment to excellent service.n

Duties

n1. Call Handling & Customer Servicen

- Answer incoming calls from customers, police, or insurance companies
- Gather key details (location, vehicle type, issue, urgency)
- Provide estimated arrival times and service information
- Handle distressed or frustrated customers calmly

Dispatching Tow

Trucks

- Assign jobs to drivers based on location, availability, and equipment
- Prioritize urgent calls (accidents, roadside hazards)
- Monitor job progress and adjust assignments as needed

n3. Route & Logistics Coordinationn

- Use GPS and dispatch software to guide drivers efficiently
- Track truck locations in real time
- Optimize routes to reduce wait times and fuel costs

nKeeping & Documentationn

- Log all service calls and job details




- Maintain driver activity records
- Process invoices, billing info, and insurance documentation

n5. Communication with Driversn

- Stay in constant contact via radio, phone, or apps
- Provide updates about traffic, hazards, or customer changes
- Assist drivers with directions or special instructions

- Work with police, fire departments, and roadside assistance programs
- Handle accident scenes or urgent breakdowns
- Ensure safety protocols are followed

- Use dispatching software and databases

nPay: $17.20-$22.00 per hourn
