SUMMARY OF THE POSITIONA person who, in a home, residence, group home or similar workplace, assumes a set of tasks whose purpose is to accompany and support the user and his or her family or to compensate for his or her disabilities in the performance of his or her activities of daily living or domestic life. They also promote the integration and socialization of the user in individual and community activities.They are responsible for the hygiene, well-being, comfort, supervision and general needs of users. They install certain devices or provides certain invasive and non-invasive care to assist with activities of daily living, for which they have been trained. They can dispense and administer medications. They can prepare meals or do housework.They inform the managers and team members of their observations on the needs of the user and his or her family. In collaboration with the other stakeholders,



they participate in the identification of the user's needs as well as in the development of the service or intervention plan and its implementation.REQUIREMENTSEducation and Experience:

• High School Diploma;Or• DEP in Homecare;• No specific experience.

Knowledge and Abilities

n

- Ability to write short reports;
- Excellent listening and communication skills;
- Sense of accountability, resourcefulness and vigilance;
- Capacity to establish interpersonal relations;
- Capacity to work in a multi disciplinary team;
- Must possess organizational skills and keen sense of observation.

Language:n
- Fluent in Cree and English;
- Fluency in French is an asset.

Other:• Valid driver's permit class 4B meeting the standards of the Société d'assurance automobile du Québec and the Ministère des Transports du Québec;• Excellent driving record: Driving Record Request (SAAQ clic online Services - Citizens).
