Reporting to the Hospitality Manager, the Housekeeper Aide impacts resident centered care primarily being responsible for assigned cleaning duties in accordance with established work schedules, policies and procedures.
n
The incumbent in the position fosters and maintains effective relationships with site staff, residents, and family members. The incumbent also acts as a role model and ambassador for the Mission and Values of LCC.

Responsibilities
n
- Supports a culture of resident centered care and service, respect, collaboration, quality improvement, resourcefulness, and outstanding customer service.
- Provide standardized basic or terminal cleaning to an average of 40 rooms per day.
- Provide cleaning service to all common areas of facility based on cleaning matrix.
- Ensures a sanitary working setting in accordance with accepted practices and LCC standards.
- Adheres to Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
- Ensures equipment, procedures, and activities within service areas contribute to a safe environment for residents, staff, volunteers, and visitors.
- Maintains positive relationships with residents and families.
- Adheres to well established standards, policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Demonstrates independence in completing assigned tasks.

Requirements
n
- Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent
- WHIMIS
- Previous Experience in housekeeping.
- Experience working with commercial Housekeeping equipment such as vacuum, carpet shampoo machine, auto scrubber, chemical dispensing equipment an asset.
- experience working with the elderly in a health care environment.
- Customer service experience.
