Position Overview

nWe are looking for outgoing, reliable, and confident individuals to host Karaoke and Trivia nights at local venues. This is a performance-based role where you are the face of the event — engaging the crowd, running the show, and creating an unforgettable experience.n

If you’re comfortable on a mic, quick on your feet, and thrive in a lively environment, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Host and run Karaoke and/or Trivia events at assigned venues
- Set up, test, and operate all equipment (sound system, laptop, software, microphones)
- Engage and entertain guests using a microphone and music/trivia formats
- Manage song rotations and/or trivia flow smoothly and professionally
- Maintain a high-energy, positive atmosphere throughout the event
- Tear down and return all equipment immediately after each event
- Ensure all equipment is accounted for before and after events
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues independently

Schedule

n

- Primarily evenings (7PM–11PM range) Time may very.
- Weekdays and/or weekends depending on assignment




- Must be available consistently for scheduled nights

Requirements

n

- Strong public speaking and crowd engagement skills
- Comfortable using a microphone in a live setting
- Reliable transportation (equipment pickup/drop-off required)
- Basic technical ability (laptops, audio equipment, software)
- Professional, punctual, and dependable
- Ability to work independently without supervision
- Must be able to lift and transport equipment

Preferred (but not required)

n

- Experience hosting trivia, karaoke, or live events
- DJ or music knowledge
- Experience with Virtual DJ or similar software

n

Compensation

n

- Per-event contract pay (based on event type and experience)
- Opportunities for additional bookings based on performance

Important Notes

n

- This is a contractor position (not employment)
- Hosts are responsible for full event execution including setup and teardown
- Training will be provided, but hosts are expected to develop strong proficiency with all equipment and software
