Our client, a well-regarded boutique firm specializing in management-side Labour & Employment law, is seeking a Law Clerk / Executive Assistant for an 18-month contract.

Responsibilities
n
- Provide high-level administrative and legal support within a busy practice group
- Assist with drafting, formatting, and filing a variety of legal documents and correspondence
- Manage calendars, deadlines, and communications to ensure matters progress efficiently
- Maintain and organize electronic files within a document management system
- Liaise with clients, external counsel, and third parties in a professional manner
- Review documentation for accuracy and compliance with applicable procedural rules
- Support billing processes, including preparing and reviewing accounts
- Contribute to the coordination of internal workflows and day-to-day operations
- Assist with internal initiatives such as events, reporting, and administrative projects
- Anticipate next steps on active matters and help ensure timely follow-up
- Maintain organized records and support general office administration as needed

Requirements
n
- 3+ years of experience as a Law Clerk or Legal Assistant in Labour & Employment law (management-side required)
- Previous executive assistant experience is considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure and Small Claims Court Rules (experience with HRTO or OLRB is an asset)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Clio or similar systems
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to anticipate needs in a fast-paced environment

Compensation

- Salary up to $65,000, commensurate with experience
