POSITION OVERVIEW

nNational Service Professionals is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior HVAC Technician to join our Toronto operations team. Based out of our North York office, you will be a key player in executing complex commercial service contracts and high-standard installations across the Greater Toronto Area.n

As a senior member of the team, you will provide expert technical solutions, manage site-specific challenges, and ensure all work is performed with precision and in strict accordance with Ontario’s safety and building regulations.

n

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

n· Service & Maintenance: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of commercial HVAC/R systems including RTUs, split systems, boilers, and MUA units.n

· Installations: Lead the installation of commercial mechanical systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.

n

· Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to the Ontario Building Code, TSSA regulations, and the CSA B149.1 Natural Gas and Propane Installation Code.

n

· Technical Documentation: Interpret complex blueprints, piping specifications, and electrical schematics; maintain accurate service logs and digital work orders.

n

· Client Relations: Provide professional consultations to commercial clients, offering clear explanations of repairs and proactive maintenance recommendations.

n

· Safety Leadership: Adhere to all OHSA (Occupational Health and Safety Act)



standards, including Lockout/Tagout procedures and fall protection.

n

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

n

· Licensing: Valid Ontario 313A (Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic) license is mandatory.

n

· Gas Ticket: Valid G1 or G2 Gas Technician license (TSSA).

n

· Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience specifically within commercial HVAC service and installation.

n

· Advanced Troubleshooting: Expert ability to diagnose complex electrical, mechanical, and airflow issues in high-demand environments.

n

· System Knowledge: Expert-level familiarity with Hydronic systems, Rooftop Units (up to 50 tons), and Building Automation Systems (BAS).

n

· Driver’s License: Valid Ontario "G" License with a clean driving record.

n

· Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for detailed reporting and client interaction.
