We're looking for our next Sous Chef at our Michelin recognized Madrina Bar y Tapas.

What you'll be doing:n
- Lead the team in successful service, ensuring that dishes look and taste as they should.
- Consistently monitor kitchen operations processes and systems to ensure efficiency, cleanliness, best practices and safety.
- Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with fellow chefs and Front of House management alike.
- Support every level of ordering and receiving, maintaining product par levels, ensuring FIFO rotation and safe storage.
- Support and create a culture centred around a healthy and happy employee experience and a genuine passion for industry, cooking, hospitality and food & beverage.
- Bring fresh ideas to improve process and procedures, as well as ideas for menu development and innovation to the Executive Chef.
- Demonstrate a high degree of personal integrity in every leadership decision.
- Communicate The DRC's vision to all team members and lead by example; and reinforce the DRC's mission and priorities daily; inspire their team with his/her exciting vision for the future.
- Conduct recruitment and selection, training and development initiatives as well as performance management and employee coaching.
- Maintain and build relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you'll bring to the kitchen:n
- EXPERIENCE. You have at least five (5) years of cooking experience, preferably three (3) years in a management role, and demonstrate progressive growth within a fine-dining environment. Experience in a Michelin restaurant is a definite asset.
- PASSION. You have a genuine passion and drive to create.
- EDUCATION/TRAINING. You have a culinary degree/diploma and/or the equivalent in education and experience are considered an asset.
- LEADERSHIP: You pride yourself in being able to collaborate with others and to lead a team by example.
- COMMUNICATION SKILLS. You demonstrate exceptional relationship building and communication skills among your team members at the restaurant.
- ADAPTABILITY. You thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
